An emergency situation can happen at any time. It can strike at any moment and this may include natural disasters and other conditions such as chemical spills, medical emergencies, fires, explosions, bomb threats, or violence. Although we can’t stop such happenings, still if we have a pre-prepared plan, this helps in reducing the impacts and enables us to respond even before the emergency happens.
A prepared plan makes substantial differences in the success of an emergency and disaster response. This helps the team to be proactive in the event of an emergency. Those scenarios or events that threaten or possess risks to the lives of workers, visitors, or members of the general public, and cause damage or interrupt workplace operations are work-related emergencies.
